We've had a super first week of school. We have taken some pictures, but the computer is not cooperating with our attempts to post them on the blog. We will keep working on this!

Next week we will begin changing classes. The test and quiz schedule is:

Thursday- Reading Test over "The Gardener"

Friday- Spelling Test: Wordly Wise Lesson 1 words and Bible verse
            Math Quiz: Place Value; Students are expected to spell the
            place value names correctly. They will have a practice sheet
            in class on Monday that may be used for studying purposes.

Our Fourth Grade Moms who will serve as room mothers are April Beasley, Michelle Bridgeman, Candace Brown, Linda Bush, Amy Ethridge, Deborah Kelley, Kenya Owens, Charity Roberts, and Amie Robinson. We will be meeting with these moms in September to plan class parties. Thank you in advance!

Thank you to all of you who have sent in needed classroom items requested at Orientation. They will be put to good use this year!

A few reminders:

     ~ Boys shirts should be tucked in throughout the school day and they should have on a belt if the pants have belt loops.

     ~ The magazine sale began yesterday. Post card booklets may be turned in up to next Wednesday, August 24th.The first turn-in day is also Wednesday. The other turn-in dates are Wednesday, August 31st and September 7th. Let's all work together and reach the goal!!

     ~ The art fee is $20.00 this year. Please send this in as soon as possible in an envelope with your child's name on it.
