News and Reminders

A few things to share ~

• The Wordly Wise quizzes are 5-6 pages long. In an effort to save paper, we've run one set to be used year after year with 4th grade students. As you saw from last week's papers, the students just record their answers on a sheet of notebook paper. We realize that makes it difficult for you to go over their mistakes with them. After the quiz grade comes home in signed papers, if you would like to come by before or after school and see which words your child missed, just let us know and we would be happy to let you look over it.
• The Wordly Wise quiz for Lesson 3 words will be Wednesday, September 4, instead of Tuesday. We will not introduce Lesson 4 words until Wednesday, September 11. The quiz for that list of words will be the following Tuesday and we will be back on schedule.
• Spelling Test over Lesson 2 words will be this Friday, August 30. There will be no Spelling next week since it is a short week. Lesson 3 words will be introduced on Monday, September 9.
• Last week, all the parents received an email about a math facts practice website. That program is available for use outside the school from September through June. Information on how to login will be sent home soon after Labor Day, along with weekly requirements for use.
• FUN INFO ~ On this Friday, August 30th, the cheerleaders will be selling "Cheek Cheers" for $1 at morning drop-off. Let's fill the 4th grade with Trojan Cheer!
• Don't forget to vote for TSA in Give With Target ! Our school could receive $10,000!!!
